Addiction and Mental Health Outpatient Treatment
Gosnold offers addiction and mental health treatment in locations both on and off Cape Cod. Our staff includes addiction specialists, mental health counselors, licensed social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, and nurses.
Individual and Family Counseling
Addiction specialists work with patients on recovery management skills, 12-step facilitation, and relapse prevention. Families work together in sessions to address relationship issues and develop healthier, more satisfying patterns of interaction, which will in turn facilitate and reinforce the patient’s abstinence.
Group therapy is a key component in addiction treatment. We offer a number of educational and skill development sessions that address all stages of recovery.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
Gosnold offers day or evening treatment three to five-days a week, depending on patient need and preference. The programs are designed for persons in need of intensive and structured treatment, but who may not require a residential or inpatient program or have recently discharged from an inpatient program. It addresses important recovery concepts including, recovery management and relapse prevention, twelve-step work, improving understanding of symptoms of addiction, identifying and reducing emotional and behavioral obstacles to recovery, and improving communication skills. The average length of treatment is two to four weeks.
Day and Evening Treatment is offered in our Falmouth, Hyannis, Harwich, North Dartmouth and Brockton clinics.
